This inspiring initiative brings together young leaders and innovators for a structured service-learning experience rooted in community impact, leadership development, and creative problem-solving.
The 2026 MLK Service-Learning Hackathon invites students to engage in meaningful project design that addresses real community needs while strengthening their leadership, presentation, and teamwork skills. Participants also have the opportunity to earn 25–50+ service hours, gain exposure to AI and machine learning, and showcase their ideas in a dynamic project showcase.
Guided by the theme “Leading with Compassion, Serving with Purpose,” this event reinforces Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy of service and empowers youth to become compassionate changemakers in their communities.

• Hackathon Day: Saturday, February 7, 2026 | 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM at Georgia State University (Facilitated by NSBE Region III, NSBE HISIG, and EAGLE 7 Consulting)
