The TEDxYouth@Snellville Countdown event will focus on the effects of climate change in three targeted areas: environmental, health, and technology.

Our goal is to expose middle & high school students to minority professionals and STEAM leaders who are creating innovative solutions with ‘ideas worth spreading’ addressing climate change. We also wanted to challenge student participants to become climate change-agents in their local communities for this school year and beyond. Our event will include professional engaging presentations designed for middle and high school students.Empowering students to use their voice to make an impact on this important topic is very important. In addition to the professional speakers, we will feature TED Ed students presenting talks and information regarding climate change.

Exposing students to professional careers that are emerging as a result of climate change can help them find purpose or spark their individual passions. Selected students will be invited to showcase their talents (art, music, design) during the event.
